Overview of responsibilities :

The Pharmacy Assistant supports the licensed pharmacist in delivering safe, efficient, and professional pharmacy services. This role is responsible for assisting with prescription processing, customer service, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities,
Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner, receive and process prescription requests under pharmacist supervision, enter patient and prescription information accurately into pharmacy software, prepare and label prescriptions for pharmacist review, manage inventory, stock shelves, and monitor expiry dates , handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times

Ensure the pharmacy work area remains clean and compliant with regulations

Qualifications :

Experience working in a pharmacy is an asset, but not a requirement - training will be provided on-site. The schedule includes a combination of day, evening and weekend shifts in rotation with other staff.
Qualifications-
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Pharmacy Assistant certificate (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is an asset
